Tateyama Park is located on a hilly area straddling Tateyama and Nishiyama.
The park has the most cherry blossoms of any park in Nagasaki City, with approximately 700 cherry trees in full bloom from late March to early April, when the best viewing time is from late March to early April.
In addition to the many flower-viewers who visit the park in the spring, the park also attracts many visitors for sports and other activities because of its adjacent grounds.
Children can play in the plaza with a long roller slide and playground equipment, and there is also an observatory with a great view, which is popular with people of all ages.
There is an observatory, a multipurpose plaza, and a playground, and the view of the cherry blossoms from the observatory is recommended.
