“Nagasaki Yabusame (horseback archery) Performance and Experience” will be held!

On September 1st (Sun), “Nagasaki Yabusame (horseback archery) Performance and Experience” will be held at the former site of the Nagasaki Prefectural Office Building!
In this event, you can see the performance of “Yabusame (horse back Archery) ” and you can also get the chance to try actual ride on a horse. (Registration for trying to ride on a horse should be made on the day of the event)
In addition, performance rehearsal for Nagasaki Kunchi by the people of Odori-cho (performance groups) will be held on the same day at the same place. Especially, the performance is Kawafune (a river-boat shipping) by Kojiya-machi, Jaodori (a dragon dance) by Goto-machi and Jabune (a dragon ship) by Nishihama-machi will be performed.
If you are in Nagasaki city, do not miss this special opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of Nagasaki Kunchi!

| Around 13:00 | Yabusame experience – try actual ride on a horse (Registration must be done by 14:30 and Insurance fee is required.) |
| Around 14:30 | Jabune *Starts as soon as the performers arrive. |
| Around 15:30 | Jaodori *Starts as soon as the performers arrive. |

According to the record of Kaishu Katsu, who received naval training in Nagasaki at the end of the Edo period(1600-1868), Dutch instructors also practiced horse riding at this place.
