This roadside station is located at the halfway point between Hirado (Nagasaki) and Fukuoka Prefecture on Route 204. In addition to being a rest area, it also sells some of the freshest seafood in the area. Matsuura City is home to the Matsuura Fish Market, which hauls in the highest number of Aji (Japanese horse mackerel) and Saba (mackerel) fish catch in Japan. As such, you can easily purchase fresh seafood that are directly brought in from the nearby fish markets at this roadside station.
