Mt. Nabekanmuri stands at 169 meters tall, offering a panoramic view of Nagasaki City. In particular, the Nagasaki Port area and the International Cruise Ship Terminal can be seen from the spacious observation deck. On a clear sunny day, visitors will also be able to spot 5 components of the “Sites of Japan’s Meiji Industrial Revolution: Iron & Steel, Shipbuilding and Coal Mining”, which is registered as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Some of the components that can be seen include the Glover House and Hashima, or better known as Gunkanjima (Battleship Island).
The observation deck at Mt. Nabekanmuri is wheelchair friendly, however a car is required to get to the peak of the mountain.
