In 1882, the church in Ebukuro was the head church of the area, but in 1932, that role was transferred to Chuchi Church. The church that stands here today was built in 1978. The majority of those who live here are Catholics who helped build the church through large contributions of money and labor. It features beautiful, large stained glass windows. The stained glass windows depict biblical scenes. The window depicting Jesus calling the fishermen to become his disciples also features the townspeople (mainly church followers at the time) who helped to contruct the church.

<Note>
Churches are very important places of prayer for their followers. When observing churches, please follow proper etiquette such that everyone can feel comfortable in the churches. A guide for church etiquette can be found here.
