The second generation church that was built here in 1881 was the first church construction project that the prolific church architect Yosuke Tetsukawa ever worked on. The current church was constructed in 1966. You can see both the Arikawa Bay to the east and the East China Sea to the west from here. This means from the very same place, you can see the morning sun rise from the Goto Sea and the setting sun sink into the East China Sea.
